Andrew Illuminati is an experienced litigator. Prior to joining Webb Cornbrooks, Mr. Illuminati served as a felony prosecutor in the Wicomico County State’s Attorney’s Office for over seven years. As an Assistant State’s Attorney, Mr. Illuminati tried over 65 circuit court cases ranging in complexity from jury trial prayers to driving under the influence to narcotics distributions to homicides. Additionally, Mr. Illuminati litigated numerous violations of probation, motions to suppress, asset forfeitures and post-conviction proceedings. Mr. Illuminati has attended courses, taught by experts at both the state and federal level, on specific areas of criminal law. Mr. Illuminati also served as an instructor at The Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy regarding testifying in court.
In addition to his work in the courtroom, Mr. Illuminati is the Past President of the Wicomico County Bar Association, is a Co-Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Judicial Appointments Committee, and serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Maryland Food Bank Lawyers’ Campaign Against Hunger.
Mr. Illuminati received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore, where he was a Fellow in the Stephen L. Snyder Center for Litigation Skills and a Samuel Rosenberg Scholar. Prior to law school, Mr. Illuminati served in the Bush Administration working for the Nation’s Drug Czar. At The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, Mr. Illuminati oversaw policies and programs involving substance abuse prevention and treatment.
Mr. Illuminati is also active in the Delmarva community. He is a member of the Parish Council for St. Francis de Sales and is a counselor at the annual Boy Scouts merit badge program at Salisbury University.
