Mr. Douse works primarily on business and real estate matters, including the sale and acquisition of businesses (both simple and complex), negotiation of leases and business contracts, acquisition and sale of real estate (both business and residential), business litigation, creation and dissolution of businesses, collection of accounts, and providing advice relating to labor and employment issues.

David B. Douse received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics at the University of Virginia, where he participated in the Economics Honors Program and graduated in 1977 with high honors. He remained at the University of Virginia for his law degree, which he received in 1980. He began the practice of law with the firm in 1980. Mr. Douse has also been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Douse is a member of the Maryland Bar Association (including the business law, labor and employment law, and real property, planning and zoning law sections), the Wicomico County Bar Association, a fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation, and participated in the Special Joint Committee of the Section of Business Law and the Section of Real Property, Planning and Zoning of the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc. He has been actively involved in his community, particularly through the Wicomico Rotary Club, which named him Co-Rotarian of the Year in 2008 for his efforts in directing and organizing community service projects for the club over a period of years. Mr. Douse has also formerly been a member of the Board of Trustees for Trinity United Methodist Church, a director and secretary of the Wicomico Rotary Club, and a past director and president of the Epilepsy Association of the Eastern Shore, Inc.
