  • Probate Administration

Michael Mathers is dedicated to providing clients comprehensive, tailored service in the fields of Estates & Trusts and Elder Law.

Within Estates and Trusts, Mr. Mathers has particular experience in wealth preservation planning, special needs and disability planning, and second marriage planning. Each estate plan is as unique as the person making it, but some of the documents that may be needed to fulfill your wishes are a Last Will and Testament, Power of Attorney, Advanced Medical Directive, or a variety of trusts including testamentary, living trusts, CRUT, QPRT, SLATs, ILIT and Grantor Trusts.

Elder Law refers to some of the unique challenges of aging beyond estate planning and administration. If a loved one loses capacity but failed to prepare a power of attorney, Mr. Mathers can pursue the appointment of a guardian. If nursing home costs threaten to drain your legacy, he is experienced in Medicaid and nursing home asset protection.

Michael Mathers graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors in Social Work and received his J.D. from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. Combining his training in law and social work, Michael Mathers emphasizes the attorney’s role as counselor in helping clients transition into later life.
